Minodin Venord Obituary

Venord, Minodin--82, Minodin a 16-year resident of Everett, formerly of Medford and Haiti, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 24, 2016.

Minodin was the beloved husband of the late Marie T. (Etienne) Venord and the loving son of Porcile Mathuring of Haiti and the late Alceus C. Venord. He was the dear father of Marie J. Conille of Stoughton, Jean Fred of Randolph, Dukens Venord of Taunton, Pierre Venord of Haiti, Mimose Renois of Everett, and the late Carmel Venord and the stepfather of Pierre Etienne of Brockton, Myreille Coradin of Haiti, Fritz Hyppolite of Haiti, Jean Edly Leon of Canada. Minodin was the grandfather of 32 grand- and great- grandchildren. He also leaves his loving companion Charite "Chacha" Destine of Everett along with many brothers and sisters.

The funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway in Somerville Saturday morning, January 7, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church in Somerville. at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, January 6, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be  in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

Minodin was a retired employee of Tufts University and a member of Hiram Grand Lodge AF & AM in Dorchester.
