January 2, 2007

I was lucky enough to have called Michele my friend as she was truly a remarkable person. Her ears were always open to listen and her arms were always open for hugs. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of her. Even though my heart is broken, my memories of Michele will always make me smile.

To The Oates & Schenwar Families,

I never met Michele, but reading what has been written here, I am awed by the love, admiration & appreciation expressed. Let these help you cherish the memory of her life in these most difficult times.
As one who lost his mother 35 yrs. ago to the same disease at virtually the same age, let me assure you that the darkness will fade and the pain will numb, but your loving memories will live on.

With my deepest sympathies,
Michael Barron (golf/temple with Dave Schenwar)

David and Boys,
Not meeting Michele, I am not sure what to say...except, that I am so sorry for your loss.
I know that you and you family have been through a series of spiritual attacks. I know that it is rough in standing firm. But, remember that God is in charge, and now, Michele is with Him and will be waiting for you. You will now need to be strong for the boys, and let them know that you have not given up. Let them be your strength. Believe that there is life after this world, and allow that to be your Hope.
May God give you strength and the wisdom on how to raise your boys. Hang in there.
Derek

to the loving memory of Michele and family we were so blessed to be able to know her and will cherish the dinner that we had with her and her family this fall when they came to minnesota. My mom and dad have lots of memories of her growing up and as an adult. We will never forget your wedding. It is still a shock to think that she is gone. We will miss her but we know that she is with her mom looking down on us. We will be thinking of the entire family at this difficult time.

Michele will always have a special place in our heart. My oldest child had her for 2nd and 3rd grade 12 years ago. She was a very caring and special teacher. When my father in law passed away (12 years ago), she made it a point to come all the way to Lincolnwood to pay her respects to our family. She will never be forgotten. May her memories live forever in your hearts. She will be watching over you.
