Andria & John:
My deepest sympathy to you both. I wish I could have gotten to know you both better, but as life has it, it was not meant to be. I look back with fond memories at Michaelene. She and I knew each other from childhood as our parents were friend. My grandmother introduced your grandmother (Sylvia) to your grandfather (Stanley). Michealene and I talked about our parents often and how my father and her father loved each other. Even into their "older years" they called each other every Sunday until my dad passed. Then Stanley passed two weeks later.
I remember the day that I took her to a club and she met your dad. I could tell from the "sparkle" in her eyes from the first minute she laid eyes on him, he was "the one." I can still see that look in her eyes and will never forget it. After she and your dad married, Michealene and I went separate paths and stayed in touch sporadically. About three years ago we renewed our friendship, picking up where we left off. She told me everytime I was with her that I made her feel like she was 19 years old again. Even if you didn't know Michealene, if you saw her across a room, you could see what a loving, spunky, wonderful, fun person she was.
I will miss her so much but the one consolation I have is she is with John who put that "sparkle" in her eyes and her heart.
Sincerely, Susan Cameron
