Tunney, Michael J. age 58, Veteran of Vietnam War, U.S. Army, a 33 year Veteran of the Chicago Police Dept (008 District). Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Remely), a cherished son of the late James F. (late Margaret H.), fond son-in-law of Dorothy (late Victor) Remely, dear brother of the late Margaret, late Kathleen and Patricia (Michael) Kinner, brother-in-law of David (Cynthia) Remely and Paulette (James) Paul, a special nephew to Martin (the late Josephine) Tunney and William (the late Ann) Tunney, dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and cousin to many. Member of the Chicago Gaelic Park, Mayo Association of Chicago, American Legion Post #2910, retired Police Association, F.O.P. and St. Jude's. Funeral services Thursday, 9:45 a.m., from Damar Funeral Home, 7861 S. 88th Ave. (2 miles West of 79th & Harlem), Justice, to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m. Interment private. 708-496-0200To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Pat,
I am sorry I wasn't able to attend the wake for Mike due to a family medical emergency. My Dad and Martin always spoke highly of Mike and his Father. I'll never forget him telling me the name of his boat. That showed me he had a great outlook on life.
