As kids, Mike led us on Tom Sawyer type journeys that none of us will ever forget. I am sure he continued his adventures long after I knew him for those brief few years. He taught me how to fight and stick up for myself - yet he was the first person who I remember cheering me to do things well. Many of my childhood memories revolve around stuff that all of us did together (Con, Joe C, Jim M, Mike G . . .) what a fun time we had. Later in the years I saw him around Chicago a few times . . . he was still the same that I remembered from childhood . . .

Janette, Mia, Olivia, Gabrial, Paige & the Sterchele Family: I have been friends with Janette's sister, Michelle, for almost thirty years (from NIU) and I have met Janette and Mike a few times. He was very welcoming and friendly and had such a wonderful smile. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 41-year-old brother suddenly (fell off a ladder) three months ago. To Mike's siblings: The pain of losing a brother is terrible and one friend of mine told me that it is worse than losing a parent. For all of you: I have found comfort in reading a book called, “Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back” by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. I hope you find some peace when reading this book.

I just heard the news from Jannete. I worked with Mike at a telecommunication company. he is a person that cant be forgotton for his kindness and hard work. Im deeply sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace. I am very very sad to hear this news about him . You are all in my prayers.
