Michael J.Rohan,
SWEETER THAN SUGAR!
When we last spoke a short while ago, you left me with the same memories as you did when we met 21 years ago.I know you broke all our hearts when you left. But I keep telling myself, God, only takes the very best. However, missing you is a BIG UNDERSTATEMENT. JUDY, YOU HAD ONE OF THE VERY BEST. I know you & the kids will always have the fondest memories of all.

Words are not enough to express our heartfelt loss at Mike's passing. I lost my friend for life and will miss him forever, until we meet again. To Judy, Erin, Michelle, Kelly, Mrs. Rohan, Chris and Matt, be proud of the person Mike was and the life he lived. Not many like him come around too often and although his life was short, his star burned very bright. Mike was fond of movies and I thought about some movie that may have portrayed his life. "The Quiet Man" (John Wayne) was a close winner as it portrayed a gentle giant of a man who loved life. "Walking Tall" also came to mind as it portrayed a man that against all odds seeked justice. "Harvey" (Jimmy Stewart) almost was the winner as it portrayed a gentle man who had as his best buddie the imaginary six foot rabbit (Mike loved tales like this). But of all the movies I thought about that reminded me of Mike's life was and the winner is "It's a Wonderful Life" (Jimmy Stewart) as it portrayed a loving and sharing man who sacrificed his life for his family, friends and community. No one stands taller than my buddy, Mike. I miss you and will never forget you.

I felt shocked and very sad when i herd about Michael Rohans passing. He was one of the first persons i met and worked with when i started my job with the airlines in the wide body kitchen in June of 1983. Mike was and will allways be a beautiful person and wonderful humen being. I give my sincere condulences too his three daughters, wife, mother and his two brothers. I am so sorry this has happened to Mike but i feel he is in a better place and we will all see him again someday. God Bless You Judy,Erin,Michelle,Kelly and family.

To the Rohan Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. Mike Rohan was a wonderful person. I knew him mostly as a Crystal Lake Library board member and a library user because I worked at the Crystal Lake for over 9 years until this past summer.
My memories of him are mostly as a loving father who brought his girls into the library and shared his love of books with them and marched with them in the yearly CL parade. Mike will be sorely missed as an advocate of libraries everywhere. His tenure on the Library Board (besides his family) is one of the finest legacies he could leave behind.
God bless.
