Passalaqua, Michael Thomas born August 2, 1942, beloved husband and best friend to Violet Passalaqua, loving and proud father of Jack, Shawn (Elizabeth) Recinto, William (Susanne) and Michael Passalaqua Jr. (Kimberly), cherished grandfather of Ethan and Eidan Recinto and Lilly Passalaqua. He was best known as an on-the-fly inventor, backyard mechanic, civil war and old west fanatic, teacher, pioneer, student, craftsman, engineer, television critic, baker of fine breads, amateur comedian, hero, maker of candy and collector of proud moments. He will be missed and loved by everyone. Visitation is available at the Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, Friday, from 4 to 9 p.m. Prayers Saturday, 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home, to St. Ita Catholic Church, 1220 W. Catalpa Ave., Chicago. Mass 10 a.m. Interment private.
