Dear Fran and Mike, I am really sorry too hear about the passing of someone so close to both your hearts. It has to be one of the toughest things to experience in life, but grandpa would have wanted the two of you to stay strong and live life to the fulliest. I share my deepest sorrow with the two of you and also to his wife. I will be attending church tommorrow morning in brick on Sept. 7th and I will make it my priority to light a candle for him and also your family.

We have been blessed to know all of you through Johnny Lupo over these many years. We know that the reunion of Michael with his son, John, in heaven, will give you comfort and strength...Your are in our prayers as you grieve the loss of someone so dear to you. Our thoughts are also for Francie, in New Jersey, who we know so wanted to be in Chicago to share this time together as family. You will keep your wonderful memories of your husband, father, and grandfather, Michael, alive in your hearts as you continue to share your stories of his life. We hold you all in our hearts as well.

I was very crushed to hear about the passing of Mr.Lupo. Although I am not a blood family member, I viewed him as the Grandfather that I never had. With my Father's father passing away before I was born, and my mother being adopted, I never had a real Grandfather. When my girlfriend (Fran) told me about him I was so exited to meet him, and when I finally got the chance to meet him in person, he exceeded everything that I ever expected. He was the kind of man that I always thought of when I pictured the Grandfather that I have always wanted. It was a pleasure and an honor to spend time with him, and talk to him on the phone and learn from his life experiences, and listen to all of his wonderful stories. It became clear that he and I had a lot in common with each other. I considered him family and I thought of him as my Grandfather. And the fact that he is now gone really hurts. I hope that one day when my time is up, that I will get the chance to see him again.

Love,

Michael

Unfortunately, I only had the pleasure of meeting Grandpa Lupo once but it will be a memory I will hold dear forever. Him and his wife welcomed me into their home as if I were a part of their family. Grandpa Lupo had my attention the whole visit with the stories of his past, about the places he visited and the people he knew. It was such a wonderful visit and I truly felt as if I was a part of the family when I left. He really was a wonderful man and he will be missed by everyone I am sure. My prayers are with the family.

Words cannot describe the pain and emptiness I feel over Grandpa's passing. The only comfort I find is that he did not suffer and he was welcomed by Daddy and is now a guardian angel who will watch over me. I will never forget him, his colorful stories, the way he protected me, and the love he always gave to me. He welcomed my finace, Michael into his life and loved him as his own. I will never forget that. My love, thoughts, and prayers are with Grandma and the rest of our family during this hard time. I love all of you!!!

What a sad time for all of us. I'm so sorry you have to go through this awful time but looking back over the years of laughter and tears, Dad is fondly and lovingly remembered by family and friends alike. He was a caring man, crusty and tough, yet sensitive and proud. He had his own, unique view of life and never held back from sharing it with others. When it came to overcoming obstacles he gave it everything he had. He stayed with us as long as he possibly could, for his family. He made it to the millenium (a longtime goal) and then set his sights on turning 90. When he accomplished that he set the bar higher. There will be a place in my heart for him, always. He was my father-in-law and the father of my beloved Johnny, as well as the grand-father of our wonderful daughter, Franci. He and Johnny are together now and I know it's a Labor Day BBQ in Heaven. I can smell the sausage now. My love and prayers are with all of you. Love, Ginger
