Dear Mike,
Today is your birthday. We would be the same age. I remember your 15th birthday. I made a pineapple-upside-down cake (it was the only one I could make) . We ate it in the empty lot on 29th and Canal-all of us. I miss you. Thanks for all the memories.
Love,
Margaret

Dear Mike,
It has been a month since I heard the news. It has taken me this long to write. I can remember that June day in 1976 when you asked me out. I had never been asked out before. The summer of '76 was the most incredible summer of my life-thanks to you. I will always remember that year (and the back porch). I remember the movies I made of you, your brothers, and the bike-skidding matches you had-who made the longest bike skids. I remember watcking movies in my hallway-and your brother Tony jumping in front of the projector (making obscene jestures!). I thank you for all the memories. I will never forget them. They are some of the most precious memories I have. I will see you once again, someday.
Love,
Margaret

It has been a month already and still doesn't seem real. I see Mike sitting on our steps with his smiling face playing with Anthony. Mike would stop by aleast once a week. Always having his nice clean gym shoes on. You are missed so much!

Today is 4 weeks since Mike has left us, and I must say it still feels like it was yesterday. Its amazing how you dont see someone all that much throughout your everyday life, but when you know you will never see him again it is amazing the loss you can feel. As life goes the pain will get easier but the memories can only get stronger. Mike thanks for all the memories....

You sheltered me from harm.
Kept me warm, kept me warm
You gave my life to me
Set me free, Set me free
The finest years I ever knew
were all the years I had with you
I would give anything I own,
Give up me life, my heart, my home.
I would give everything I own,
just to have you back again.
You taught me how to love,
What its of, what its of.
You never said too much,
but still you showed the way,
and I knew from watching you.
Nobody else could ever know
the part of me that can't let go.

To everyone who has entered a response to Mikes Guest Book, I can say that words are never enough to thank you. Mike would be so pleased to know of the outstanding turnout at his wake and funeral. Mike was a wonderful father to all of his children, and a very special person to the rest of his family. I can only say that my brother Mike will truley be missed and never forgotten. Mike may you rest in peace.

Mike was such a kind and gentle soul. He would always take the time to talk with my children. Asking them how they were doing and what's going on in their lives. He truly will be missed and may peace be with him.

Dear Michael:
I can still picture your grandfather holding you in his arms when you were a newborn and smiling down at you. I know he’s holding you now.

Thank you to all of our friends for your support through this difficult time. It is comforting to hear all of the wonderful things that have been said over the past few days and throughout my brother's life. I have learned so much from him and I will strive to carry on his kindness, selflessness and gentleness. His life was his children and he extended his love to his nieces and nephews. My children are blessed to have had this time with him. His laughter, visits and phone calls will truly be missed.
