Mike was always very pleasant and helpful during my five years at 55 W. Chestnut and I'm sad to have lost a friend. It was inspiring to see him with his daughters heading off to the beach on the weekends. My heart goes out to his girls and his friends in the building.

My husband, Dan and I have know Mike since he was 4 years old. He was a wonderful kid who grew up to be a great man, loving son, and superb father. Our deepest sympathies to his beautiful girls, Morgan & Casey, to Pam who he loved dearly, to his brothers, Rick and Bill, and to his parents, especially his Mother, Judy, who has been my friend for over 30 years. He has gone home to be with our Father, and we will all miss him.

I met Mike only a year ago, yet I consider him to be one of the nicest people I have ever known. He was a loving and exemplary father. My heart goes out to his beautiful daughters.

I have known Mike since I moved into 55 W. Chestnut in 1986. Mike has always been a caring, funny and many times went out of his way to help me, beyond his normal responsabilities. I send my love to Mike, his children and family and to all his friends. I hope now that he finds the peace and happiness he so deserves and that he knows we will always miss him. Mike was the first person I received a hello in morning, which would start my day off right and I will miss that and him. God Bless you Mike. Barb

I moved from 55 W. Chestnut in 1994; however, I remember Mike and how friendly and helpful he always was. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to his family. God bless you.

I extend my deep sympathy to Mike's family, friends, co-workers and the tenants at 55 W. Chestnut. Until late last year I lived at 55 W. Chestnut for ten years and benefitted from Mike's expertise and kindness. It was delightful to observe Mike's joy and love for his children and those are the sweetest memories.

I live at 55 West Chestnut and I was fortunate enough to have known Mike for the fifteen years I have lived there. He was beloved by all in the building and we really thought of Mike more as our friend rather than the "Chief Engineer". He was a truly kind and considerate person and I shall miss him deeply. I also cherish that one of the last times I spent with Mike was last month at "Cheesecake Park" on Pearson Street just off Michigan Avenue. He had his darling daughters and I had my granddaughter, Elizabeth. While the children played on the slides and trains, we sat and had a nice talk. I will treasure that time with him. God bless Mike and all his family. My sincere condolences on your great loss.
