Michael Fal Obituary

Michael J. Fal 1950 - 2009 WETHERSFIELD, CT - Michael J. Fal, 59, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at the Hartford Hospital. Born in Holyoke, MA on Feb. 5, 1950, he is the son of Mary (Slawski) Fal of South Hadley and the late John Fal. Michael was a graduate of South Hadley High School, and UMASS, Amherst where he studied accounting and music. He worked in accounting and customer service for the former Loctite Corp. now the Henkel Corp. in Rocky Hill, CT. Michael was an avid N. Y. Yankees fan and musician who loved playing the drums and piano in his band. He is survived by his wife Valerie (Hammond) Fal, three step-daughters, Rona Murphy and Patricia Fortin both of Wethersfield, CT and Jane McCarthy of Southington, CT, five step-grandchildren, one uncle, Karl Slawski of MA, a cousin, Loretta Chudzik and her husband Edward of South Hadley, MA as well as several other cousins and family members living in Wisconsin. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a Funeral Mass TODAY, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10am in St. Patrick's Church, 30 Main St., South Hadley, MA followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery, S.
