Dear Irene and Family,
My deepest condolences on such a painful and unexpected loss. I pray that God lovingly embraces you and your family as he assures you that you are never alone. May God's eternal love and his compassionate grace shower you and your family with heavenly comfort, courage, strength, faith, love and peace. May your tender and precious memories of Mike warm your souls with everlasting love, which will always keep him in your lives and in your hearts. Please turn and depend on our Heavenly Father God to console you during this tremendous time of severe loss. Before Mike went home to be with God, he was only able to be with you when he was physically with you, but now Mike will always be with you, and in your hearts. Please seek some comfort in knowing that Mike is walking with Jesus and is experiencing the biggest family an friends reunion that only Heaven can provide. God Bless and hold you close to his heart, Always.

I want to offer my condolences- My husband was Jim Sammons, who worked with Mike back at Manga in late 90's. Jim was in a car accident and has a brain injury but wanted you to know he often speaks of Mike and what a great guy he was to him. He had such an impact on Jim's life. So sorry for this tragic loss

I knew Mike since our days at Prosser. Dave Stapleton and I met him in our freshman year there. I watched them put together the Loodeaz and would check them out at the Fulton Street studio. I spent years in different aspects of the Chicago music scene and can say unequivocally Mike was the greatest unknown guitar player I ever heard. Sadly now, the rest of the world will never get the opportunity to hear what all Mike's friends and loved ones have known all these years.
