Mike was a wonderful neighbor. We enjoyed seeing his daughter grow up from the days she swung on a tire swing in front of the house. Mike always enjoyed putting an elaborate Halloween display up. He was a good man and a good neighbor. We will miss him. Ruth and Frank Svestka

I worked with Michael for several years at Cook County Hospital. I was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. Michael was a very good man. I always enjoyed talking to him and considered him my friend. We always talked about our families and the latest books among other things. In a job like that, Michael was always someone you could trust. Michael was one of those people who linger in your memory, no matter how long it had been since you saw him. Michael, the world was a better place with you in it. Rest in peace, my friend. I will miss you.
