I had the pleasure of knowing Mike by working at the base and doing some buying for his organization. I always looked forward to his visits because he was such a pleasant, smiling, unassuming and interesting individual. I always tried to do the best for Mike because he deserved it. It's really strange how, with all the years since his and my retirement, that some people you just never forget because of the kindness they showed you. Mike was a treasure and will be terribly missed. My heart goes out to his family and many friends.

I will never forget the stories, the mentoring and friendship that Mike gave me and so many others. The world, and many people, are more than they would have been because of Mike.
