Dear Friends: What a loss for all of us, but especially for you. Mike and I were in the first grade together and graduated at Pineville High together. His mom used to substitute teach us and was always the home room mom through the years. Mike was always smiling, always a kind word for everyone, and never had an enemy! I had hoped at the next class reunion he would be there, for there was always a void without him. W all had many great times growing up together in Pineville, and life is so short. The great news is one day we can walk the streets of gold with him! I know you know that Mike was special to you, but please know he was special to all of us in his hometown, too. May God bless you, comfort you, and strengthen you in the days ahead ! Your friend, Mike's classmate, Betty Jo McClammy Ayers.

My thoughts are with you. I am an old schoolmate of Jimmy and Patsy. My folks SE and Ruby Russell lived just down the street on Oakland. And my aunt was Erin Watson who taught most of us in Pinville during the 40's and 50's.

Dear Carolyn and David:
We were saddened to read in the Town Talk on Sunday, April 15, of Michael's untimely death. Our acquaintance and contact with him was brief in handling the successions of his father and mother, Luel L. and Mildred. Of course, we had a long acquaintance with the family and a very positive and happy friendship and professional relationship, during the children's growing up years and later with Mildred following Luel's death.
Sincerely, F. Jean and Betty B. Pharis Pineville, LA

My Uncle Mike will truly be missed by me.
There is not enough I could say of how I looked up to him and appreciated his friendship. From my earliest childhood memories until now thoughts of Uncle Mike bring a smile to my face and laughter to my heart. Can not watch an LSU event without thinkin of him.
Even though there would be some length of time from our last visit or coversation I could pick up the phone, he would be ready to help in any way he could. I could drop in in to see him, Carolyn and David and would be warmley welcomed. There was always a place for me to sleep and a place to eat. Conversations would pick up like we had not seen each other for a couple of days, not years.
I could go on and on about Mike. He has left an deep impression on my life. He was indeed one of the funniest and most talented persons I know. I will miss him but am comforted in the fact he has only preceeded me and there will be time in eternity to catch up on the visits I have missed the past few years. carolyn and David my heart goes out to you. I love you. Thank you for sharing your husband and dad with me.

Ms. Breeding:
Mike and I grew up together. We started and were in school together for all of our school years. We also played little league baseball together although we were on different teams. Ms Breeding and my Mother were very close over the years as we grew up. We played baseball and football in his yard for many years along with another friend of ours Mike Kees (passed away in 1984) who also lived on Oakland Street. We also always use to trade and swap baseball cards as we both had big collections. I guess what I am trying to say is that although I have not seen or spoken to Mike over the last number of years, I thought about him often of all the good times we had as we were youngsters. I know that this leaves a big void in your life, but this is a time that you have to draw on your faith to pull you through these times.
Please e-mail me if you would so that I will know if you got this guest book entry. Good luck, if I can ever help you, please let me know.
Respectfully
