Boxer, Michael beloved husband of Frada, loving father of Eric (Fiancee Desirae Smid) and Russell Boxer, Honorary grandfather of Caden, dear brother of Ralph Boxer, caring uncle of Sarah Boxer. Services Monday, 1:00 p.m., at Chicago Jewish Funerals Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (one block N. of Lake Cook Road), Buffalo Grove. Interment Sunset Memorial Lawns. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022, or Cancer Wellness Center, 215 Revere Drive, Northbrook, IL 60062. I am a friend of Ralph`s and knew Mike in earlier years. I had the pleasure of meeting you only one time, after you and Mike became engaged. I am very sorry to hear of his passing I know he was still young.I hope that you will be comforted at this difficult time. My family`s heart goes out to you and your family.

Mike was more than a friend to us, he was a member of our family. We shared many good (and not so good) times together. Mike's love of family and friends, his love of the outdoors and outdoor activities, and his enjoyment of life will remain the source of many fond memories.
