Hubert Jr., Merton W. 88, of Elmhurst formerly of Chicago and Mundelein. Beloved husband of the late Jean M. (nee Trainer); loving father of Victoria (Richard) Penn, Terese Moon, Paula (Kenneth) Ekis, Martin (Paula) Hubert and the late Augusta Gamperl; father-in-law of Richard Gamperl; grandfather of Robert (Ann Marie), Ryan and Karen Gamperl, John (Rebecca) Penn, Katy and Kevin Moon, Gregory Ekis, Emily (Michael) White and Wil and Anna Hubert; dear son of the late Merton Sr. and Lillian Hubert; brother of Lorraine Olsen and the late Patricia Dickinson and John Hubert; uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was a WWII United States Coast Guard veteran and a lifelong member of I.B.E.W. Local # 9. Merton was very generous with his time and support of numerous organizations and individuals. Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday. Prayers 9:00 A.M. Thursday, January 10 at the funeral home going to Visitation Church.
