Magner Sr., Melvin J. dear father of Eugene (Kathleen) Magner and Melvin Magner Jr., cherished grandfather of Daniel, William, Sarah and Joanna, he was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Erma Magner. Visitation WEdnesday, 3 to 9 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road at NW Highway, Mount Prospect. Services Thursday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery. Melvin was my mother´s cousin. I seldom saw him but I remember him as a good looking man with a warm smile and a kind voice. He generously gifted a small photo album containing family photos to a person in our family. However, because all those of his generation are gone, and the photos are unmarked, we are having trouble determining who the people are.
