The pain of losing a child is enough to break your heart, as well as your spirit. I felt that when I lost my child, I had lost my purpose in life.
Recently, I realized that being a parent is a permenant gift. A life-long responsibility which never expires. Just as you will always be Matthew's Mom and Dad, I will always be Michael's Mom. With this in mind, I know that I still have purpose. And on those days when I fall apart, I remember, Michael would expect more from me.
Take comfort in eachother during this painful time. When you are weak, hold eachother strong. Remind one another of the love you have, and the life you helped create.
Matthew is never far from you. Let his spirit help to mend your hearts. After all, that is what angel's do best.
I will pray for you everyday.

Dear Rigo & Wanda,
Baby Matthew is in heaven now, with our Lord, Jesus Christ. I know that everyone is questioning why he got to stay such a brief time with us. I realize now that we have all been tremendously blessed to have "Angel" Matthew in our lives. Because of Matthew, members of your families have mended broken relationships. Because of Matthew, both of you were able to see how much your friends and family love you. Because of Matthew, people stopped taking simple joys in their lives for granted- - sunsets, a cool breeze, the beauty of the autumn leaves, a child's hug. It is truly miraculous when a person stops what he/she is doing and begins to view the world from a new perspective. Matthew performed this miracle in so many of our lives. Angels perform miracles.
May Our Lord bless both of you and keep you close to His Heart.
We Love You,
Vonni, Evan, and Isaac
