Mason Ashcroft Obituary

Mason Ashcroft, 18, of Hemlock Ave. in Kane, passed away Thursday (Jan. 9) in UPMC-Presbyterian. Born March 24, 2006 in Twenty-Nine Palms, CA, he is the son of Bryan Ashcroft and Lindsay (Hicks) Vito.

Mason was currently employed at Walmart in St. Marys and had also worked at Lillians Ice Cream Stand. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Kaden Ashcroft; a half-sister, Madigan (Justin) Keiffer; two stepsisters, Ella Vito and Katie Colosimo; two stepbrothers, Alex Vito and Rhys Hushon; his stepfather, Jim Vito and his stepmother Amy Ashcroft; his maternal grandmother Donna Poss; his maternal grandparents Bill and Jill Hicks; his paternal grandparents, Pat and Tina Westerburg and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Cummings Funeral Home on Tuesday (Jan. 14) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (Jan. 15) at the Kane Community Methodist Church on Greeves St. in Kane, with the Rev. Heather Glogau officiating. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
