I first met Mary when I was in Student Government in 1973 and she was on the Village Board. We got to be good friends, and I would help her on her Village elections, and she helped me when I ran for the County Board. I was the culprit who got her to run for Village President. I lost touch with her after I graduated from law school. She was a great lady who cared about her community.
