Pappas, Mary Funeral services for Mary Pappas (nee Revelas), 84, of Palatine since 1968, will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Rd., Palatine, IL 60067. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL. Visitation will be held Monday, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067. Mary was born February 10, 1930 in Chicago, and passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 in Arlington Heights. She was an executive secretary at Welby Corporation in Chicago, before becoming a full time homemaker and mother. Mary liked bowling, bingo, arts and crafts, spending time with her grandchildren and was known to be an outstanding dancer. Most of all, her family was everything to her. Mary was the beloved wife of Peter Pappas; loving mother of Dean (Joy) Pappas and James (Sandra) Pappas; loving grandmother of Mary Olivia Pappas and Jamie Marie Pappas; dear daughter of the late George and Christina (nee Vallas) Revelas; fond sister of the late Frieda Pfieffer, Julia Gineris, Carrie Manolis, Tom Revelas, John Revelas and Billy Revelas; dear sister-in-law of Barbara (Alex) Kopsian.
