Mary Medvid Obituary

Medvid, Mary I. age 85, late of Matteson and formerly of Cicero and Braidwood, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights. She and her husband owned and operated John and Mary's Tap in Cicero from 1974-88. Her interests included fishing, racehorses and music. Surviving are four children, Alfred (Elaine) Million of Las Cruces, NM, Keith Medvid of Lemont, John (Judy) Medvid of New Lenox and Candace (Peter) Salomoun of Minooka, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded by her husband, John Medvid (1994), her parents, John and Sarah (nee Matheny) Jeffers and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Mary I. Medvid will be Friday, February 18, 2005, at 8 p.m., at the funeral home chapel. Cremation will be accorded following services. Visitation Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Fred C.
