Harris, Mary Lucille Jupiter (Age 75)

On Saturday, February 21, 2004, Mary L. Harris quietly departed this life for one eternal. Mary was born to the late William and Mary Jupiter on February12, 1929 in Charles County, Maryland.

Mary was a member of Shiloh Community United Methodist Church in Newburg, Maryland. Listed among Mary’s favorite things to do would be cooking, reading, especially her bible, and crafts. She was a member of the WAC Hughes Lodge, #1053, located in Newburg, Maryland.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Menchen Harris, and siblings, Thomas Jupiter, Margaret Annie Cooper, Harry Jupiter, and William Arthur Jupiter, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Reginald, Ricky, Ronald, Tony and Tyrone, two granddaughter, Brittney and Jasmine, sister, Eleanor Chase, brother, Robert Jupiter, brother-in-law, Wilbert Chase, two sisters-in-law, Lavenne and Mary Jupiter, fiancée, Charles Washington, close family friends, Martha Simpson, Martha Thompson, and Amanda Holton, and a host of extended family, other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be held on Friday, February 27, 2004, 9:00a.m. until time of service 11:00a.m., Shiloh Community United Methodist Church, Newburg, Maryland. Interment Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Thornton Funeral Home, P.A.

But I would not have you be ignorant,brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope . for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
