DuPont R.N., Mary Jo (nee Morris), age 92, of Niles, formerly of Monmouth IL, passed away on Saturday April 10th, 2010, beloved wife of the late Anton Jr. "Tony", loving mother of Anton III (Rose), Barbara (Bruce) Chennell and James (Isabel) DuPont, cherished grandmother of Thomas (Nichole), Katherine, Brian, Megan, Stephanie and William, dear sister of the late Helen (Merrill) Liggett and LaVant (Juanita) Morris, loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, daughter of the late Mary Ann and Lee Morris of Monmouth IL. Funeral Service Thursday, 9:15 AM from Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles to Our Lady of Ransom Church for 10:00 AM Mass. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. She was a Graduate of Saint Francis School of Nursing, Peoria IL in 1941, 1st Lt. US Army 54th General Hospital, Pacific Theatre of Operations (New Guinea, Philippines) 1943-45; she was employed at Lutheran General Hospital 1958 - 1981. We've never met, but my mom, Frankie Komer, has wonderful memories of both your mother and father. When we received a call from Kay Quinlan this weekend informing us of your mom's passing, it was a sad occasion. When I think of the good times those close friends had for so many years, I know it made my mom's life much happier. My mom is still with us, living in Atlanta, and I do not look forward to telling her in person of Mary Jo's death. Our prayers are with you; you had wonderful parents and can take great joy in knowing they had truly a blessed life.
