Giersch, Marvin A. age 79, of Wisconsin, formerly of Lombard, U.S. Marine Veteran WWII, served in China, Charlie Co., 1st Battalion, 1st Regiment, 1st Division. Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Dorothy A. (nee Sarnecki), loving father of Bruce (Tami), Barry (Teri), Carla (Kevin) Tonk and the late Paula Horstman Fritz, grandfather of Tracy (Brandon) Colcord, Joshua (Jenelle) Giersch, Adam Giersch, Sabrina Horstman and Jocelyn Garibay, great-grandfather of Mia, dear brother of the late Ken (Rita) Giersch. Retired Engineer for Griffin Wheel Co., Chicago. Visitation Sunday, 1 p.m. until time of Funeral service 4 p.m., at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Disabled American Veterans or other veteran groups appreciated. Info: 888-629-0094
