Dear Lori,

Although we never met, I want to thank you for being such a good wife and soul mate to Marvin. He was a "one-of-a kind" guy. He knew how to treat people right and we all respected him for it. The Nite-n-Gale won't be the same without him but his memory will live on within us. God Bless you and the family during this difficult time.

Dear Lori,

I only learned of Marvin's passing a few days ago. I am so sorry I missed the service. I would have liked to say goodbye to someone I came to feel was a friend. I will always remember his sincerity, and the love you two so obviously felt for each other. My deepest condolences.

Dear Lori,

I remember caring for Marvin in CCC when he first had his transplant and when the two of you became SOUL MATES..what a beautiful setting. Marvin's smile and his charisma made him so endearing to all who were blessed to know him. Both of you have been special to know and care for over the years at ENH. I am honored to have helped in caring for Marvin and seeing the love and unendless caring and support you gave to him,Lori. God's Blessings, Lori from me and all of your fellow nurses in CCC.

Dear Lori, Ashley and Kyle,

I was very sad last night to learn of Marvin's passing. I first met Marvin back in the 1970's when I was his floor-duty nurse while he was a patient at Highland Park Hospital. He said I reminded him of his sister. As so many people did, my husband, Al, and our three kids, Linda, Sharon, and David (all well into their forty's now) loved him very much. The name of the restaurant that we used in our family was "Marvin's". We will miss his warmth.

Our love and the very best to all of you.

Dear Lori,

My heartfelt condolences. So sorry to hear about your husband Marvin. He was such a good peson as I came to know him and took care of him whenever he was here in CCC. I will always remember him having a smile in his face everytime I see him, having such a positive attitude of what he was going thru .It was a pleasure knowing him.

Dear Kyle and Ashley,

I was so sorry to hear of the death of your father. I met you Dad shortly after I became the Chief of Police in Highwood. I started coming into the Nite N Gale for lunch and it quickly became my favorite spot in Highwood.

As a newcomer to the city your Dad made me feel welcome and he was never to busy to stop and talk with me. We often spoke about Florida and our most recent trips down there.

Your Dad was a wonderful guy and I was glad to have known him.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Please accept our deepest sympathy with your loss of Marvin. As we deal with own sadness of learning of the loss Marvin, memories return to our years together in Stillwater Oklahoma as we studied, played baseball, laughed, and struggled to grow up.

Marvin was a bigger-than-life spirit. His ability to bring joy and pleasure to others was a quality that we shall forever treasure. He was the kind person who was sensitive to the feelings of others. These qualities meant that people were happier when he was in the room. He was a great friend. He will be missed.

Ashleena and Kyle - I cant express enough how sorry I am...I know what a difficult time your dad had lately. We can now only pray that he is at peace.

You should both remember how PROUD he was of you and how much he loved you. You both should be proud of yourselves also - for being there for him when he needed you at the restaurant and at home. You were always there for him and I know that meant a lot to all of you.

I will be saying a prayer for you guys on Wednesday. I wont be able to be there as I am out of state but know that I am thinking of you both SO much and I am sending a huge HUG across the miles.

Your dad was a great guy who always had a smile and a hug ready when I saw him. I will always remember him with love.

I love you both....
