Just received word of PSC Martin's passing. Marty was one of the most compitent, dedicated CPOs I had the please to work with in the USCGR. He carried out his work with a sense of humor and laced his conversation with entertaining 'sea stories' from the Coast Guard and Chicago Police Department. He was a great role model for the younger enlisted men and a great help to the officers. My condolences to Joyce and the rest of the Martin family at this melancholy time. Until we meet again, Marty. Your dad was a great guy who I enjoyed working with for 7 years in the CPD CC Room. Funny and always ready with a joke in the CPD style. Classy Man, and all around great Cop!
