O'Donnell, Martin R. 61, beloved husband of Doris (nee Tonelli, loving son of the late Jack and Virginia O'Donnell, loving father of Jack (Colleen), Vickie (John) Czapla, Katie (Rob) Hyde, and Tracy (fiance Dominick Vittorini) O'Donnell, proud "Papa" of Riley, Mackenzie, Jack, Megan, and Ryan, dear brother of Patti (Duane) Myers, Ginger (Lenny) Carr, Jack (Jeanne), Peggy (Greg) Rogers, Judy (Bill) O'Brien, Kate (Barney) Gira, Helen (Craig) Fetty and Nancy (John) Schuette, dear uncle of 21 nieces and nephews. Cherished cousin and friend to many. Cherished friend to many. Visitation Wednesday, 3 till 9 p.m., at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago. Funeral Thursday, 9:30 a.m., starting with Prayers at the funeral home to St. Cornelius Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. To all the O'Donnell family. Marty was a wonderful gentleman. It was always my pleasure to see him and joke with him and discuss all the famous Irish golf courses. I will miss his sense of humor and his courage. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Marty O'Donnell family we are so sorry for your loss, and you are all in our prayers.
I have known Marty since HS Days at DePaul Academy when he was so involved with the sports teams as a manager for the Football & Basketball Teams. Great guy.
Then I worked with Marty at Illinois Bell/Ameritech/SBC through the years. He fought the good fight and was given some really good years after his transplant some years ago. He also loved to play golf, and loved his family.
My Mother in Law (Mary Deignan - Hennigan) was also a very good friend of Marty's mother and father, and sends he condolences also.
May the Good Lord Always hold him in the Plam of His hands. God Bless
