Martha F. (Garofoli) Mattress, 83, a resident for 57 years of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, owner and operator with her husband of Bill's Used Car Sales for more than 50 years before her retirement in 1981, died at UMass Medical Center-University Campus on Saturday, July 7, 2001. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2001, noon to 1 p.m., at Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, noon, at the funeral home. Mass will be offered on Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., at Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury.
