(nee Balje), age 69, at rest Wednesday, August 21, 2002, born and raised in Chicago and a resident of Dolton, loving wife of the late John "Jack" Ellis, daughter of the late Herbert and Grace, beloved mother of Kathleen, Jean, late Eugene, Pat (Mike) and John (Christine), dear grandmother of Megan, Madie and Michael, dear sister of late Florence, Herbert, Rosemary and Robert, a fond friend to many. Former employee of the Dolton Library. Funeral services Saturday, August 24, 2002, at 11:30 a.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Private interment. You took me by surprise the day you called me and told me about your Mom. It brought back fond memories when we were kids. All the fun we had around the neighborhood. We need to get together and stay in touch more. Time is too precious. And good friends are hard to find.
