Marla Powers Obituary
Marla (Fellger) Powers, formerly Tipton, of Chicago, died August 24, 2022, in Springfield, at age 90. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, and former husband Robert. Marla was a devoted mother to Bonnie (Gary), and Melissa (Arthur) and a loving grandmother to Allison, Robert, Margaret, Christopher, Elizabeth and James; great-grandmother to Christian, Aiden, Alan, Evert and Evie. She is remembered for her fierce dedication to animal rights, including the Victorian House (1978-2008) a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter, run with husband Joe. A vegan, she loved animals, reading, music, art, sewing, and antiques. Her life will be celebrated May 27, 2023. For further information call 217-454-6932.
