Dear Mrs. Turner and family,
I am really, very sorry to hear about your loss. I had Mr. Turner as my 7th grade math teacher many years ago. It was he who realized that I belonged in the honors classes and did everything in his power to make sure that happened. If it weren't for him I may not be where I am today. He was a wonderful teacher and will be sorely missed.

Kristi and family, Mark was an extraordinary man even in his teenage years. There isn’t a better person from the “Class of 1985” that could represent the entire student body better than Mark, Kind and respectful are two words I immediately associate with Mark. It comes as no surprise to read what a positive impact He had in his professional and personal life after High School. Please know you and your family our in my families thoughts and prayers and know that Mark touched many lives and he was taken from all of us way too soon.

Dear Kristi,
I am so very sorry to learn of the passing of your husband, Mark. It is so very hard, unless one has directly experienced it, to know the sorrow that you and your children are feeling. My wish for you is that you will keep all of the special times that you and Mark shared together in that special, happy place of your heart. My prayers for you are that God will give you strength to endure this sad time in your life.

My family and I are so sorry for your loss. My two sons were fortunate enough to have had Mark as a teacher, coach, mentor and friend. He was always there for them and helped shape them into the fine young men they are today. My daughter had long awaited to have him as a teacher and sadly missed him, but she enjoyed his smile everyday and their special hand shake. He touched the lives of all of my children and he will be sadly missed. He always had supportive words for me in troubled times and I always knew he spoke of true wisdom and compassion. We all feel priveledged to have known him and honored to have crossed the path of such an amazing person. God bless all of you in this time of deep sadness. Rest in peace Superman....you will be forever loved and missed and never ever forgotten.

I am extremely sad to hear this tragic news about my friend Mark. Mark lived only a short distance from my grandparents gun store, and whenever I went to stay with my grandparents, which was often, I would get to see Mark, Mike, Chuck and Sis. We had so much fun, sleeping out, trout fishing, riding dirtbikes, sled riding on his hill, and getting in trouble. I remember Mark and Mike walking into Franklin and their mom looking for them and boy did they get in trouble when she found them. We did cause some trouble, but nothing serious. Mark first started going to church with me and my family at the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church, we were probably around 12 years old. I am very happy to see that Mark was active and instrumental in his local church. My deepest sympathies to you Kristi and your family and the entire Turner family. I regret not getting a chance to talk with Mark before he passed. I will always remember and miss my dear friend Mark.

I am deeply saddened by your loss Kristi and family. Mark will always be remembered as I was always going over to 'Turner's'. We played football, baseball, enjoyed fireworks, sled riding, shooting outings 'down at the tracks' and so many other things it would take days to cover.

Some of my favorite memories growing up were hanging out with the Turner's. I truly loved Mark and always valued his friendship and being able to associate myself with him and his siblings.

I will never forget the adventure Mark put us all through when we took Sis's car for a most adventurous ride one evening up and down hillsides, through and around trees (which no one can still believe we made it around) only to break down on an old lease road on the side of a steep hill in the woods. We had the best of times.

Kristi, you and your family are in my deepest thoughts as I am truly sorry for your loss. May you hold all your memories dear to your heart.

Kristi and family,
My heart is breaking for your loss, Mark was a good man. Always had a smile and no matter what mood you were in could always make you laugh. I don't think sitting on the sidelines at every soccer, softball and baseball game is going to be the same. Hetouched the lives of everyone he met. He will be sadly missed. My thought and prayers are with you all

Mark will always be remembered as the remarkable man who let our daughter, Vanessa, use his Mustang for her high school graduation pictures. The '67 Mustang is her dream car. At the time, Vanessa was good friends with a neighbor of Mark's. One day while she was visiting her friend, she met Mark and saw his Mustang. That was all she talked about for the longest time! She was amazed that Mark and I knew each other from working together. When I asked him if he would consider the idea, he was all for it. He took the afternoon to drive the car to Honesdale for the picture shoot which lasted about 2hrs. That was in 2005. Vanessa baked him brownies. What a nice and generous man. He touched our lives.
