I knew Mary and Mario and the kids when we lived in a 2 flat on Sacramento Ave. in the 70s and 80s. I came upon this guest book almost 10 years later. Mary, Mario was a great guy and he will be missed. I live in Southern Illinois with my second husband and son, used to be Debbie Zarazee

Dear Dina & Family,
I am truly saddened to hear about your father. I only wish I could be there to hear all of the wonderful stories being told. Although, I did not know him personally, I know he had to be a wonderful husband and father. It takes great parents to create such amazing people as yourself. I hope that one day you are able to think of him and remember him and smile...I miss you and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Love,
Katie

I'm very sorry I couldn't be there with all of you. Everyone who knows Mario knows what a kind person he was. They know how friendly and warm he was,how he always made you feel welcome and always greeted you with that great smile. I can still see his shoulders shrugging up and down when he laughed...and he laughed often. But what really made him great was the example he set with his honesty, integrity, how he lived his life and the example he set for everyone who ever met him. Everyone speaks of legacies...politicians etc., but the greatest legacy any person can leave in this world ,through their own example,is good family and friends with honest, loving and sincere values to pass on to their children. With all of Mario's many great qualities, his greatest was the example he set for all of us who knew him....
Remember that smile...
Love,
Jack

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 11:23-25
My prayers & sincere sympathy go out to all,

Dina,
One never knows what to say, but one thing I know is although I never met your father, I know he was an amazing person and he will live on as you live your life and in your teachings to your children. In this way I know that I have been blessed by your fathers goodness, by knowing you. Much love to you, Rob, your kids, mom, and the rest of your family.
PEACE, Kathy

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of a dear friend from scouts. We always think of Mario fondly and the stories he told us of his life growing up in Italy. We especially remember the story of his mother buying a fish so that he could sleep with it. Our Condolances, John & Mary Resendiz
