Marie Kopp Obituary

GLENVILLE Marie E. Kopp, 92, entered into God's Eternal Care Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at her residence. She was the wife of Raymond W. Kopp, her husband of 60 years, who died July 1, 2002. Born January 3, 1915, in West Manchester Twp., York, she was the daughter of the late Vernon E. and Mary Jane (Nash) Greenwood. Marie was a member of St. Paul Dubs U.C.C., Hanover, where she taught Sunday school for more than 30 years and was a member of the LayLife & Guild. Mrs. Kopp was a member of the Democratic Society of Hanover. She was employed as a seamstress for the Hanover Sewing Company. Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Delores Woodward, Maureen Myers, Darlene Staub, Gene Kopp, and Stephen Kopp, all of Glenville; one sister, Grace Gladfelter of Spring Grove; nine grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgianna Kopp and Blanche Gruber. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2007 , at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Anthony Szilagyi officiating. Viewing will be Sunday evening 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to VNA/HOSPICE, 440 N.
