Marie Albers Obituary

Albers, Marie Ann (nee Lorenz), age 92, welcomed to her heavenly home by her beloved husband of 72 years, LeRoy "Rick" Albers, who preceded her in death just nine short months ago. Cherished mother of Nancy (the late Lawrence) Billo, James (Laura) Albers, Mark (Carol) Albers, and Susan (Kevin) Schlomas; loving grandmother of Dawn Szymanek, Jane (Mark) Kothe, Jim (Laura) Albers, Joe (Jenny) Albers, Jeff (Katie) Albers, Patrick Schlomas, Marie Schlomas, Jennifer Schlomas, Rachel Albers and Caroline Albers; great-grandmother of Andrew and Anthony Szymanek, Danny and Charlie Kothe and Emily, Brandon and Blake Albers; dearest sister of Irma Schulock, the late Ann Halper and the late Rose Ringbauer; treasured "Aunt Marie" to many nieces and nephews. Marie was a long-time member of the Jolly Burgenlanders Social Club and very proud of her Austrian heritage. She was hard-working, had a heart of gold, and was generous to all. Marie was an amazing cook and baker, and she made certain that anyone who visited had something to eat and was given a take-home container of her delicious cookies. She will be deeply missed. Visitation Sunday 2-8 P.M Funeral Monday 9:15 A.M. from Lawn Funeral Home 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park to St. Elizabeth Seton Church Mass 10:00 A.M. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Aunt Marie was loved by all. She was so warm and welcoming to all with her beautiful smile. We will all miss her, but she is not alone. She has gone to see The Lord, her parents, uncle Rick, her sisters and my mom, they are waiting to greet her with open arms. My prayers and heart go out to the family

Aunt Marie was loved by all, she was so warm and welcoming to everyone with her beautiful smile. Although she is no longer with us, she is not alone. She has gone to see The Lord, her parents, uncle Rick, her sisters and my mom. She is and always will take care of her family. To the family my prayers and my heart go out to all of you.

To the Family of my dear Aunt Marie. What a beautifully written obituary and my favorite picture of my Uncle Rick's bride - the Love of his life. He always referred to her as his bride and had her wedding picture on his dresser right where he could see it all the time. They lived a long life and are now together. I will never forget them. And of course, never forget Aunt Marie's wonderful cookies that she always gave me, specially. God bless them all. Lovingly your niece Irma (Schulock) Pocius - Love to all in her family. The last of four amazing sisters. Love to all.

I am sorry for your loss. Death is the opposite of life. God can awaken those who have died just as surely as you can awaken a person from sleep. Mark 5:22,23,41,42. Sarah Watson

Please accept my Sincere Sympathy due to Marie's passing. She was a wonderful woman, a real trendsetter, a great friend to many but above all, a great wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family! May The Lord be holding her in the palm of His hand.
