Marguerite Murphy Obituary

She will be missed. May the Perpetual Light shine upon her.

I have known Peg for quite some time. She is mother to my brother-in-law, mother-in-law to my sister and grandmother to my niece and nephew. Needless to say I saw her in each of these roles, and she sure juggled all these roles with such ease and joy. Peg was a pure delight to be around. I will miss her exciting Christmas cards, in addition to the toffee she’d faithfully send my parents. She always showed such a genuine concern if one of my family members was unable to attend a function. I will miss Peg so much. We’ve already experienced a couple functions without her because she was so sick and it’s just not the same. I am thankful for the time I was able to spend around her.

Condolences to the Murphy family! I will miss Peg but she will be alive in my memories of the fun times and laughter we shared so many years ago. We will meet again in our heavenly home.

Grandma Peg, I can´t explain enough in words how much of a blessing you were in my life, so many great memories and the lessons you taught me will stick with me forever, one thing I´ll always remember was how much dedication and a hard worker you were with everything you didSome of the funniest memories with you never wanting to get your hair wet in the pool, always wanting to get KFC, the list goes on with all these fantastic memories and I wouldn´t change any of them for the world, I´ll always love you grandma Peg, and I can´t thank you enough for the blessing you were in my life,

Knew Peg for 66 yrs. The best friend a person was lucky to have. She was so loved by all. Will miss you Peg.

I´ll never forget our Tuesday night drives to Irish dancing, long shopping days, family vacations, and Christmas mornings at Grandma Peg´s. I will cherish those great memories forever. We will miss you

My condolences to Peg's family. As you all know, she was a really special lady to many. I had the pleasure of texting with her the last few months while her medical problems were difficult. She was a trooper through it all. I will miss her a lot.

I will miss all our long talks, your advice, our trips and shopping days, our game days, our sharing of memories and most of all knowing you were there to talk to at any time. I´m really gonna miss you

We are so sorry for your loss. Our favorite memory will always be seeing her sweet smiling face and greeting the kids off of the bus. She made us look forward to going to the stop. She was always sweet to the kids and they loved seeing her when she was at the Mraz house. She is going to be missed. We are just so blessed we got to know her.

My Mom, Barbara Fayta, was great friends with Peg Murphy since we grew up in Dolton many years ago. They would still talk, call and get together every so often. Then my Mom´s memory started going bad before my Dad passed away about seven years ago. Her memory is not so good so we look at a lot of photos, that helps. She still talks fondly of her great friends from St. Jude and the old neighborhood. Peg was always a kind and caring person and loved by so many people.

So sorry to hear of Pegs death. Got to text her last week, I´m happy for that. Our deepest sympathies to her family
