Margarita Hammons Obituary

Margarita Y. Hammons, 75, a resident since 1970 of Anderson, Indiana, a native of San Cristobal, Mexico, an assistant teacher with Head Start for 14 years at the Urban League of Madison County before her retirement, died at her residence on Friday, December 22, 2000, following a courageous battle with cancer. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, December 28, 2000, 1:30-2:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church Annex, 304 East 11th Street, Anderson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, 2:30 p.m., at the church, officiated by Father Robert Williams. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1115 Pearl Street, Anderson, IN 46016. Arrangements entrusted to Brown Butz Diedring Funeral Home, Anderson, Indiana.
