Margaret Vreeland Obituary

Margaret B. Vreeland of Rolling Meadows Funeral services for Margaret B. Vreeland (nee Manikowski), 81, a resident of Rolling Meadows for more than 40 years, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Mass will follow at 10 a.m., at St. Colette Catholic Church, 3900 S. Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows. Born Dec. 15, 1920, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Rosewood Care Center in Inverness. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Survivors include her son, James S. (Karen [nee Kreutzer]) Vreeland; daughter, Pamela A. Vreeland; grandchildren, James Jr., Amy, Matthew and Robert Vreeland; brother, Frank Manikowski Jr.; three nieces; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Vreeland, in 1995; and sister, Dolores Howes. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
