To Sara and the extended Miniat family,

I am sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I have great childhood memories of the love your family had for each other, and of the great devotion your Mom had for her faith in God. I mean what other family had a huge stuffed animal in their family room? To this day, I still think of your Mom on Good Friday as she tried to get Sara and I to go to church with her. Prayers go out to your family during these tough times.

My dear adopted , extended Miniat family . I was soo sad to hear of Paulines passing. I can't believe how quickly this happened as it seems like only a few months ago Amy told me she was sick. My heart goes out to all of you as I know how close you all were to her and how much she adored those grandkids. I wrote on a guestbook just a few months ago about Maria Hayes mom ,Rosemary who passed earlier this year and now Pauline. These women were my childhood! It seems like a short time ago I was a kid playing with Amy at your Flossmoor house and Pauline was walking around wearing Amy's clothes telling us we should " go out , go out and play some tennis". Or she was sneaking in homeless kitty cats ( tiger and tily) much to the surprise of your dad , who would then find out many weeks later when he noticed an extra cat in the house. Or how cool it was to drive with her alone for the first overnight to the new house in Michigan and she said I could smoke in the car , haha ( my mom woul have Never done that ). But probably what I remember the most was her immense generosity towards not only her family but to me and my family. Every time we saw each other it was an opportunity to reminisce and laugh. She offered a lot to those she knew and even more to those who she didn't but were in need . She was a memorable part of my childhood with my best friend and I know she will be missed greatly by all of you. God Bless you during this difficult time. Ana

Amy, I know it's been over 25 years since we last saw each other but I wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. I only met your mom once, at your wedding, but she was warm, gracious and kind. I saw where so many of your good qualities came from.
