Margaret LaPrade Obituary

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Services for Margaret K. LaPrade, 93, of Mount Pleasant, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Leon Grissom and Jimmie Allen officiating. Burial will be in Bridges Chapel Cemetery of Mount Pleasant. Mrs. LaPrade was born March 11, 1913, in Titus County, to Roy Allen and Nellie Rolf Allen. She passed away Monday, September 25, 2006, at Titus Regional Medical Center. She was a retired cashier for Piggly Wiggly. She also was a member of Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. LaPrade was preceded in death by her husband, Allen LaPrade; son, Bobby LaPrade; father, Roy Allen; mother, Nellie Rolf Allen; brothers, Winfred, Russell, Horace, Woodrow, and Morris Allen; and sister, Lucy Pearl Cordell. She is survived by her daughter, Janis LaPrade of Mount Pleasant; brother, Jimmie Allen of Center; and sisters, Jane Southerland and Dorothy Little, both of Longview. Pallbearers will be Robert Rolston, Danny Pat Crooks, Alford Flanagan, Larry Ward, Doug Hutchings, and Richard VanCleave. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 26, 2006, at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.
