Peg Grey, what a lady. She is such an inspiration and I feel so fortunate to have known her. Some of the funnest times ever were with Peg on the softball field, she will be missed.

I was greatly saddened to hear today that Peg is gone from this world. Although I had only known her for the last 6 years she made an impression that will last the rest of my lifetime.

Peg was one of the most engaging people I've ever met. Rarely do you find a person who connected with people they way she did.

I will miss her greatly. I miss her now. I will remember her always.

My deepest sympathy to Grace and Peg's family as she will be soreley missed. I met Peg for the first time when she was a freshman at Maria trying out for the Avalon Park Basketball team. She displayed the enthusiasm then as she has all of her life for sports.

I will miss Peg's presence on the softball fields. It seemed like she was always around every year going all the way back to the 80's. My heart goes out to her partner, Grace. Peg will always be remembered and loved. I know I will never forget her smiles, passion for sports, her zest for life and the kindness in her heart when talking and mingling with friends. What a Great Gal!

She was truly an inspiration and I have learned a lot from her about enjoying the gift of life, every single minute of every single day. I know she's an angel now, watching over us...with her softball mitt in hand!!

Peg was a pioneer. She paved the way for a great many of us in several areas, most notably in women's sports here in Chicago.
Her passion, wisdom and courage were an inspiration to us all. She lived life to the fullest and brightened the days of those around her.
It's been an honor and a joy to have known her, and to be able to look back on 20 yrs worth of memories. She will be greatly missed.

We will always remember Peg as a brave leader who did what she thought was right, no matter what others might think. She played her best season of all on our softball, Timber Lanes, team in 2006. It was an honor to know her and she will always be remembered.
