Madeline Brown Obituary

Johns Brown, Madeline Was born on March 14, 1938, as Madeline Louise Sneed in Chicago, Illinois to Ella Louise Panelle. Madeline received her education from the Chicago Public Schools. She graduated from Englewood High School. In 1978, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Donald Leon Brown and was stepmother to Darcelle and Donald. She accepted Christ into her life and was a long time member of the First Church of Deliverance with her husband. Madeline was a retired educator, working with children at both the elementary and high school level. As the owner of Becky's Florist on 79th Street in Chicago, Madeline was a successful business woman, as well. Madeline lived a full life and loved cooking, traveling, flowers and all beautiful things. Madeline leaves to cherish her memory; her brother, Theodore; her two stepchildren, Darcelle (Eugene) and Donald (Pamela), step-grandchildren, Cesili and Meka, and a host of cousins and friends. Memorial Visitation, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at First Church of Deliverance, 4315 South Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL. madeline & i were best friends since 1st yr high school.she was my first born childs god mother.I saw here this summer at the nursing home and upon my leaving to return to california gave her a kiss on the forehead and thanked here for the memory of a good and true friend.she will always have a special place in my heart.
