Mabel Guilliams Obituary

Mabel C. Guilliams, 94, of Riner, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. She was born on June 18, 1917. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Noah and Abigail Conner; and all nine of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George C. Guilliams; one son, Steve Guilliams and wife, Donna, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one daughter, Sue Thacker and husband, Bob, of Riner, Va.; one grandson, Robert Thacker and wife, Kimberly, of Nashville, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Anna Guilliams, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one stepgrandson, John Cromer; and stepgreat- grandson, Kirby Cromer, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and one stepgreat- granddaughter, Carolina Cromer, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Mabel was a long term active member of the Riner Community and Auburn United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church of your choice. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2011, from noon until 1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev.
