Dear Sister Avila,
You were my third grade teacher in your first teaching job in Sacred Heart School Two Rivers, Wisconsin. You were the most patient teacher, very pretty and lots of fun.
In later years we met again at St. Marys Home in Manitowoc, WI and revisited old memories. Thanks for being such a good person.
God bless you, Joan (Dombrowski)Otto

Sister was principle at St James school and was probably the kindest sister there. On Wednesday afternoons we would all gather in the gym and sing and I think she changed the words to some of the songs. I am sorry to hear of her passing, it was been a long time since I have seen her. I hope she is now rewarded for the work she did on earth.

Sister Avila! I haven't heard that name in years. She was our principal at St. James School in Chicago. I have wonderful memories at school and of Sister giving band aids to us when we had cuts. My sympathy to the family.
