Lynne Londre Obituary

GRESHAM - Lynne C. Londre, 70, formerly of Racine, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Maple Lane Health Care Facility in Shawano with her son, Adam at her side. Lynne was born on February 27, 1938, in Evanston, Ill., to Stanley and Loraine (nee: Nelson) Wetterberg. For most of her life, Lynne resided in Racine, working many years for Johnson's Gift Gallery in West Racine. The last few years, she lived with her son in Gresham. Lynne had a lifelong love for knitting. She was known especially for her children's sweaters that were tailor-made with a child's name or special interest knitted into the sweater. Surviving are her son, Adam Londre; granddaughter, Kayla Londre, both of Gresham; two sisters, Jeananne Rath of Detroit, Mich. and Ginger Converse; brother and sister-in- law, Bill (Jane) Wetterberg, all of Racine; sisters-in-law, Beverly Funk, Sharon Huck, Marilyn Highman, Sandi (Daniel) Muleski, Arlene Londre, and Corinne Londre, all of Racine; and brothers-in-law, Jerald (Patricia) Londre of Black River Falls, Rick (Mary) Londre of Dorchester, and Howard Woodward of Black River Falls. Lynne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert 'Bob' Londre; parents; sisters-in- law, Dorothy Londre-Wood- ward, Joyce Londre-Thomp- son, Nancy Londre-Toutant- Paeth, and Joanne Londre- Johnson; brothers-in-law, Ron, Edward, and Thomas Londre. Funeral services will be held at the Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Nathan James officiating. Burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of service.
