Lowell Trombly Obituary

Trombly, Lowell R. On July 23rd, 2011, Lowell R. Trombly, 79, of 3904 North Bernard St., Chicago, passed away after a short hospital stay. Born in Springfield, MA on April 11, 1932, he spent his early years in Indian Orchard and Palmer, MA, before serving four years in the Navy. He played for local semi-pro football teams in Palmer, MA in his late teens, and was proud to be in the Chicago Cubs Minor League system after the Navy. He was a lifetime member of Local #147 of the Chicago Painter's Union. Lowell is predeceased by his wife Kathryn of Chicago, his parents Mary and Peter Trombly, brother Roger Trombly, and sister Judith Lamery, all of Palmer, MA. Hs is survived by sisters Sheila Trombly and Joy Hannum, both of Palmer, Janet Cronwell of Acworth, GA, and also by brothers Wayne and Kent Trombly of the Palmer area, and many nieces and nephews in Massachusets, and niece Maria Gamino of Chicago. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. A private memorial gathering will be at the home of Mary and Mitch Keeling in Chicago on August 13th.
