Louise Marshall Obituary

Louise (Dolan) Marshall, 82, of Enfield, and formerly of Vernon, wife of the late Russell Marshall, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011, at Hartford Hospital.

Born in Colchester, Vt., daughter of the late Bert and Lona (Deuso) Dolan, she lived in Vernon for over 45 years before moving to Enfield in 1997. Prior to her retirement, Louise was a waitress in several area restaurants. She loved children and animals. She enjoyed making wedding cakes, cooking, and reading. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved children, John Marshall, and his wife, Janet, of Enfield, and Loree Fitzgerald, and her husband, Roland, of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Christy Hubert, Tanner Johnson, Jennifer Marshall, Jenny Benvenuto, Bobby Fitzgerald, Logan Johnson, and Amanda Marshall; six great-grandchildren, Nina Benvenuto, Joseph Marshall, Makayla Rivera, McKenzie, Aidan, and Nolan Fitzgerald; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Alberta Johnson (January 2011); her daughter-in-law, Lynda Marshall (August 1997); and three brothers and four sisters.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Parkway Pavilion for the care given to their mother.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2011, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
