Louis Tarsitano Obituary

I would like to send my condolences to to the family members of Louis. He and his wife the late Sally Francis Tarsitano were friends of mine at the then Elmhurst College. I very much regret the time it has taken for me to do this

I am very sorry it has taken me so long to Louis´s passing. Louis, his wife Sally Francis Tarsitano were friends of mine at the then Elmhurst College. We all had some wonderful times watching films and enjoying beaujolais. I thank the good Lord l was able to have the privilege of knowing them both.

After learning of Fr. Tarsitano's death, I obtained a copy of his publication "The Saint Mark's Brief: An Applied Study in Christian Liberty." His defense of church doctrine as expressed in the 1928 Prayer Book was exemplary. Perhaps few know the story of St. Mark's in Denver, but his role in the defense of his parish was heroic. My condolences.

I feel lost since my favorite teacher has gone away. It was such a honor to have Dr. Tarsitano as a teacher. Please, my deepest condolence to the family.

Pat told me of Lou's death. I am saddened at your loss. It is hard to be left behind. I know that he and Dad are terrorozing and raising the eyebrows of God and the Angels with

their wonderfully horrible jokes.

Lou was a gracious, wonderful and comforting man who helped me with myown grief years ago. He is in the company of God and the angels. Sally, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I was stunned to learn of Lou's death this afternoon; and of his apparent long illness this past year!



I know that he and Dad must be having a wonderful reunion. Can't you just hear the angels laughing at their "horrible" jokes?



He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He has certainly been a kind, supportive friend to me over these 25+ years.

I knew Lou well at Quigley North seminary and had a chance to speak to him by phone a week or so before his death. Although breathing was clearly an effort for him, he was cracking jokes and spoke cheerfully - there's no other word for it - about what he knew was coming. Same old Lou. I know I speak for all his old classmates from QPSN Class of '69 when I say he was a great guy who will be much missed.

Lou was a great person. May God bless him and his family!

I will greatly miss this holy priest of God. May he rest in Peace and Rise in Glory!

We were so saddened to hear of Mr. Tarsitano's passing. We did not know until recently that he had been ill. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God comfort and bless.

Father Lou was, and always will be, a very special person. He was a dear friend to all the friends of Jesus. Called Home too soon by human standards, he earned his rest by his tireless devotion to Our Savior. He is greatly missed.

I thank God for Dr. Tarsitano. He served the Lord faithfully; he encouraged us Anglicans mightily.



May you, his family, know the peace that comes from knowing where he is and that he is praying for you. There is a huge hole left in your hearts. It will heal slowly, but you will never forget him.



Remember that we will be praying for you in your grief work for at least a year. God bless you and keep you.

Fr Lou was a very dear friend and mentor. He will be greatly missed. He touched many lives and through his works he inspired many. Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord. And may light perpetual shine upon him. Amen.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Lou face to face in this world, his wonderful writing helped me in innumerable ways and gave me a sense of the breadth of depth of this man's profound faith.



Dr. Tarsitano will be dearly missed by all who knew him in any capacity, and by all who love the Angican Way. He was a treasure.
