I just want to say that I will miss Louis, he was like a second dad to me. And Helen was like a second mom. But Louis really hasn't been himself since Helen died. I know that they are all together again. Heaven is really filling up with the SLP neighbors. God Bless you Louis and please hug my mom and dad for me. Laura

We as kids growing up really never knew "Lou" as his real name...We knew him as "Link" his dog's name..."Let's go to LINKS and get some candy!!!" All we had to do was knock on his door and he was always there with a huge bowl of candy that he passed out to every kid that ever showed up at his door. It was the hi-light of us neighborhood kids' evenings...if we went to Links to get candy, well then, everyone went to get candy!!! But of course, you had to hope the real Link wasn't tied up in the back yard to keep you out!!!! Lou, I am 38 years old and living in Kansas now, but you are one of the best memories I have of our SLP neighborhood!
God Bless,
"say hi to our mom for us!"
Love,

To the Boelke Family-
Our heart felt condolences on the passing of Lou. I grew up with my Mom and Dad (Stan & Jen)just down the alley from Lou & Helen. Lou always had a smile on his face and a fun story. If I remember correctly he was fond of his wife, dogs, an old Ford Mustang and an old Ford Model A or T. He was a genuine nice man whom I saw last year at Gary Zimmerman's funeral. As always he had a smile and a story for my Dad and I. Our prayers are with all his family and friends.
Sincerely,
Jeff, Margaret, Bridie & Grace Gaffney
